The cheaper Made in China Doc Martens are extremely comfortable right out of the box, and I've had ok life out of them 2-3 years with a wear a week. The more expensive Made in England ones (I own 2 pairs) are NOT comfortable out of the box.
Once you have some polish on your cloth, apply it all over your Doc Martens with a firm pressure to push it into the pores of the leather. Leave the polish-covered shoes to stand for anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes. Take a shoe brush and buff your Doc Martens to polish the leather and remove any excess.
